Moldovan Journal of Health Sciences was launched in October 2014. It is published in English, according to current international standards and guidelines in the field of medical sciences and is published quarterly. 

The journal is registered in the National Bibliometric Instrument IBN/IDSI (no. 1 from 16.11.2015), and from 21 December 2017, by the Decision of the Supreme Council for Science and Technological Development no. 169, was included in the list of Type B scientific journals. The journal is registered in 2 international databases. 

At present, the MJHS publishes independently submitted original researches and review articles, clinical studies and cases, lectures, brief reports and correspondence as well as official papers and editorials in medicine and health sciences.

The MJHS seeks to merge internationality, to be visible, readable and citable, and it is a Fully Open Access Journal accessible online without any embargo period. The printed version is distributed by subscription.

The journal is designed for specialists in the areas of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, social medicine and public health.

Its editor-in-chief is associate professor Serghei Popa.
